Balboa Land Investments Inc.

Balboa has demonstrated a keen interest in preserving the culture, and perpetuating the history of Calgary through extensive restoration, maintenance, and protection of the historical significance of the Imperial Bank of Canada building, the Thomson Brothers Block, the Doll Block, the Clarence Block, the Molson's Bank and the Customs House.  Each of these properties have been restored or renovated at considerable expense.

Balboa's previous development experience includes construction of the Hyatt Regency Calgary Hotel, which opened in May, 2000.  The significance of this development to the City is emphasized by the integration of historic streetscapes, links to the Telus Convention Centre and the creation of a distinctive downtown landmark.  A testimony to the Balboa development team, the completion of the hotel was on schedule, and demonstrated the ability to successfully deliver a complex development project.

On March 14, 2007, a subsidiary company, Keynote Development Corporation, officially launched construction of the three tower 760,000 square foot Keynote Urban Village project in Calgary's historic Victoria Crossing District.  The 14 story Office Tower #1 and 26 story Residential Tower #1 were completed in 2009 and 2010 respectively. The 29 story Residential Tower #2 was built to the third floor podium level before being capped due to market conditions. Future plans call for the completion of Residential Tower #2 as well as construction of another 18 story office tower to complete the block.

A leader in the Calgary community, Balboa continues the commitment to revitalize and enhance the character and presence of their properties by creating vibrant and appealing streetscapes.
