Project Details

Balboa Land Investments Inc., embarked on the development of a mixed use concept in early 2005. In 2006 Keynote Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Balboa, took over ownership and control of the project.  The property is located between 1st Street and Macleod Trail, 11th and 12th Avenues S.E.  Designed by Gibbs Gage Architects, the development permit was approved in 2006 and construction commenced in early 2007.  The three high rise towers are designed on a 45 degree bias to the downtown street grid.  This orientation maximizes sunlight penetration and views, as well as creates a diagonal urban street well suited for pedestrian activity. Elevated, landscaped parks serve as gathering places for tenants, customers and residents.

Environmentally responsive, Keynote Urban Village includes numerous green areas, sustainable design concepts and materials, as well as responsible construction practices.

Major tenants of the project include CH2M Hill, AON, RBC, Starbucks and Sunterra Market which unveiled its new "Urban Market" concept.

The Keynote Urban Village project brings downtown quality office space and fresh inhabitable spaces, to the Victoria Crossing District bridging the Stampede Entertainment District to downtown – a place where people can live, work and play.
